Melissa joined Parker Design Group in 2018 and currently manages the Roanoke Stormwater Department. She is certified as a Dual Combined Administrator with the Department of Environmental Quality and serves as the primary point of contact for stormwater consultation. Melissa manages a wide variety of Stormwater projects including: Pre and Post Construction Inspections, Municipality Contracts, Industrial Stormwater Permits, Stormwater Management (SWM) and Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) Plan Review, and MS4 Management. She also manages our field inspectors who are qualified Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Inspectors. Her expertise includes the following:
- VPDES Permitting
- Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan Preparation and Management (Construction General Permit and Industrial)
- Best Management Practices (BMP) Inspections and Maintenance
- SWM/ESC Inspection, Program Management, and Plan Review
- Stormwater Sampling
- SPCC Preparation Updates and Inspections
- MS4 Management
Melissa’s roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Primary point of contact for all stormwater related components and concerns
- Business development, proposal preparation, ongoing professional development, and training
- Field inspections, permit compliance, report generation, and report filings
- Stormwater Field Personnel Supervisor, allocating resources and tracking contracts
