The department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) stands firm in protecting public health, safety, and welfare by licensing qualified individuals such as the professionals at PDG. Obtaining a license to become a Professional Surveyor includes:

  • Obtaining a surveying degree from an ABET accredited program
  • Taking and passing the Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) exam
  • Receiving the SIT (Surveyor in Training) Designation
  • Obtaining 4 years’ experience under a licensed surveyor
  • Taking and passing the Principles and Practice of Surveying (PS) exam
