Engineer Licensing

The Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) stands firm in protecting public health, safety, and welfare by licensing qualified individuals such as the professionals at PDG. Obtaining a license to become a Professional Engineer includes:

  • Earning a four-year degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Taking and passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
  • Receiving the EIT (Engineer in Training) Designation
  • Obtaining 4 years’ experience under a licensed engineer
  • Taking and passing the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam
