- Taking and passing the Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) exam
- Receiving the SIT (Surveyor in Training) Designation
- Obtaining 4 years’ experience under a licensed surveyor
- Taking and passing the Principles and Practice of Surveying (PS) exam
