Veterans and Athletes United is a Richmond area non-profit that provides assistance to veterans. Parker Design Group helped with surveying, engineering and permitting for this unique project to get the area ready to house the traveling memorial. In 2018, the first of two 28 foot wide by 6 foot tall American flags were completed. The flag symbolizes the shape of the flag when draped on a fallen service member's casket. It is made of over 7,000 dog tags of fallen soldiers since 9/11. One flag is stationed at the VAU retreat in Chesterfield County, VA and the other in the St. Louis, MO area. Both travel all over the country and can be seen at special venues.
